About Open Arms of Hope
Open Arms of Hope offers a lifeline to pregnant women who lack family and financial support, providing counseling and other life-saving services to prevent infant deaths caused by unsafe abandonment. Our work is rooted in Kraaifontein and Klapmuts, where we provide education and support through prevention talks at schools, focusing especially on the rural areas of Klapmuts.
Open Arms of Hope was established in 2012, inspired by a painting and the scripture from Lamentations 2:19, which calls us to lift our hands to the Lord for the lives of our children. From 2012 to 2022, we were involved in safety care. In November 2022, we launched the Baby Saver at Bloekombos, located at Lofdal Church. Our various projects revolve around one core mission: "Offering the choice of life," by sharing the Gospel and God's love, bringing hope where there is hopelessness.
At Open Arms of Hope, we believe in the inherent strength of every woman. We are committed to helping pregnant women embrace their identity, define their future, and positively impact their communities.
Our Mission
Our mission is to offer the choice of life to pregnant women who find themselves without family or financial support, equipping them with counseling, support, and resources to make informed and safe choices. Through our projects, we aim to share God's love and offer hope for a better future, especially to those facing seemingly insurmountable challenges.
Our Vision
To create a world where every child is born into love and every woman is empowered to make informed life choices, rooted in the hope and guidance found in Christ. We strive to be a beacon of hope, bringing light to communities by laying a strong foundation in our youth for a future filled with possibilities.
